We are a chapter of Michigan Audubon formed in the early 1950’s. Monthly programs feature guest speakers on a variety of natural history and birding topics. We conduct field trips around southeast Michigan and as far away as Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Other special events bring members and friends together, such as the annual Christmas Bird Count. Washtenaw Bird & Nature Alliance uses your donations to help provide for preservation of excellent bird habitat and allows for exciting arts and educational opportunities. We also support research at local universities and provide scholarships for young birders.

Please note that we charge an additional $5/membership to cover printing and mailing costs if you opt to have a paper copy of the newsletter delivered to your street address. In general you will receive your newsletter faster – and in full color – if you elect to receive it electronically.
