We are a chapter of Michigan Audubon formed in the early 1950's. Monthly programs feature guest speakers on a variety of natural history and birding topics. We conduct field trips around southeast Michigan and as far away as Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Other special events bring members and friends together, such as the annual Christmas Bird Count. All of our activities are generally open to non-members, and we welcome your participation. However, Washtenaw Audubon Society uses your donations to help provide for preservation of excellent bird habitat and allows for exciting arts and educational opportunities. We also support research at local universities and provide scholarships for young birders.
