Fall Migration Walk in the Arb, with Ben Lucking

September 19, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Join excellent birder, photographer and WAS Program presenter Ben Lucking, for this tour of the Arb and its fall migrating warblers, thrushes, vireos and more. After racking up 266 species in Washtenaw County since he started birding here as a lad, often on Washtenaw Audubon field trips, Ben Lucking transferred to the University of Exeter in the English county of Devon. We are lucky he has graduated and is back in Washtenaw. If you’ve birded with him, you’ll know he’s excellent at getting others on the best birds!! Anyone and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. We encourage new birders to come and welcome old friends.
Terrain is mostly flat, with a few hilly sections in the middle of the Arboretum. There is a port-a-potty available at approximately the half-way point.

Park on Riverview Dr. or Riverview Ct. and meet at the southeastern corner of Dow Field at 8:00 a.m.The walks will continue until at least 11:00 a.m. but if the birds are great, we may stay longer. You may also leave whenever you wish.
