New Year's Bird Walk at Ford Lake
Wednesday, January 01, 2020
No location provided or location is TBD
Kick off the new year with a bang of birds! What better way to start 2020 than a brisk bird walk with friends of Washtenaw Audubon Society? Join us as walk around Ford lake as we enjoy winter birding for gulls, geese and other waterfowl. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary.
This hotspot is one of the best in the area and is a particularly good winter birding location. An illustrated checklist for expected January birds can be found here.
Important: We will meet at the parking lot off of South Grove Street (click for map). Lot is located south of I-94 at the northeast corner of Ford Lake, across from the Citgo Station at the intersection of Service Drive and South Grove St.
Minors traveling on Washtenaw Audubon Society field trips without a parent or guardian must bring with them a completed and signed copy of the consent form available by clicking here: Field Trip Permission, Medical Release, and Waiver of Liability (PDF)
